Cut your costs this Easter break

Posted on 12 March 2018

If the thought of keeping your kids entertained for more than two weeks over Easter sounds daunting and expensive, then we’re here to help. We’ve rounded up our favourite low cost activities and money-saving tips to help you save this Easter!

1.    Save up to 60% off rail fares

Pay less going out on a family adventure by train with the Family & Friends Railcard. The railcard gives you a third off for adults and 60% off for kids on most rail fares. Plus it can be used for up to 4 adults and up to 4 children aged 5-15. What’s more you can get 2 for 1 tickets to many UK-wide attractions when you travel by rail.

2.    Look out for discounts on day trips and activities

MoneySavingExpert have a regularly updated page full of deals and discounts on days out, activities, cinema tickets and more.

3.    Get your creative juices flowing

Keep your kids busy decorating Easter eggs or making chocolate crispy nest cakes. You could even have your own Easter egg hunt in your back garden.

4.    Save up to 57% off days out with Kids Pass

Join Kids Pass and you can get up to 57% off family days out, up to 40% off cinema tickets, up to 10% off holidays, plus kids eat free deals.

5.    Join Childcare Vouchers before it’s too late

However, Childcare Vouchers schemes will be closing to new joiners from 6th April 2018. You will need to apply ahead of this date, so you need to act now.
